What is a Financial Coach?

So let's start out with some statistics:

  • 78% of people live paycheck to paycheck

  • the average student loan balance is just below $51,000

  • the average credit card balance  is just over $16,000

My point in sharing those statistics is not to make you feel bad or ashamed, it is show you that you are not alone.

The fact is most people did not get financial training at home or school or did not have good financial role models growing up, so they don't know how to get out of debt or achieve their financial goals.

I liken a financial coach to a nutritionist that can help you establish healthy eating habits, or a personal trainer to guide you to achieving your fitness goals, but this coach is for your money.

Last week, I read an article that stated 73% of respondents say finances are the number one cause of stress in their lives.  Can you believe that...almost 2/3 of the respondents!

A financial coach can help you make a plan to get out of an immediate crisis, become debt-free, reach your long-term and retirement goals, provide accountability, and establish good habits that you can use forever.

A financial coach is not there to criticize you for your past spending habits or choices.

They help you see the light at the end of the tunnel and give you encouragement and hope along the way.

Why not have a guide to help you through the largest stressor in your life?
